Adopt a Pet Day #2 - Fall Edition - Saturday, October 12th from 10am to 2pm: Join us for second adoption event of the year. South Hills Pet Rescue is excited to return to visit us. Everything will be set up on the parking lot side of our store. Adoptable pets will be there as well as volunteers from the rescue to talk about their cause. Come and see us from 10-2pm on Saturday. Free pet food samples and other venders will be present.
Ladies Night - Sunday, November 10th starting at 5:30pm: Join us for our first ever "Ladies Night". An after-hours shopping event with small bites of food and drinks. Bring your friends and shop around our store. It will be a great time to see socialize while shopping our store in a more relaxed environment with different lighting and different music. Chances to win raffle items will be had throughout the evening. More information to come as the details are sorted out, but for now, Save the Date!
Holiday Open House - a 2-Day Event - Saturday, Nov 17th through Sunday, Nov 18th: We invite you to shop our holiday department while the selection is fantastic. Get an early start on shopping and decorating for the Christmas holiday during our open house weekend. Hot cider and cookies will be served through the morning and afternoon hours. Several promotions and extra values can be had, and we will publish those closer to event.
Our Inaugural Pittsburgh Eggfest - 9/15/24: The food was plentiful and delicious! There is so much variety that can be cooked on a Big Green Egg and this event really made that apparent. Our 6 chefs cooked everything from pizza to meatloaf, and from goulash to cobbler, and traditional favorites such as pork and chicken bites. We are already in the planning stages of our next Eggfest for 2025, so if you would like to participate, please feel free to reach out and we will keep you in the loop! Adopt A Pet Day - 8/24/24: This event kicked off Dogust! We had adorable pets available for adoption! Animal Friends and the South Hills Pet Rescue were with us to teach about adoption and how you can help local rescue groups in our area that are in need of supplies, support, an homes for lovable animals. We also had Salty Paws Pet Ice Cream Truck offering tasty treats!
March 2024 - Daffodil Days of Mt Lebanon: We helped support the American Cancer Society and their local branch with their Tulip and Daffodil sale this year. We pre-sold spring flower bulbs for customers to plant and enjoy each spring.
8/5 - 8/6 - Bucket Sale Weekend: This one is in the books. Thanks for all of those that stopped by to support us and the MtL Historical Society through the sale of our anniversary buckets. It was a great way to get the month started!
8/20 Our "Thank You" Concert: Sunday after the store closed, we were excited to welcome the Good Guys Band to our store for a fun family event in our parking lot. Folks enjoyed some classic music, and food/drink from VAYA (Totopo food truck), Millie's ice cream, and Hitchhiker brewing. Thank you to everyone who enjoyed this concert with us!
8/26 - 8/27 - Pet Adoption Weekend: We hosted our annual pet rescue weekend, and we're hoping to expand on our popular adopt-a-pet days. We hosted raffles, gave free samples and handouts. It was all about the dogs and cats this weekend!
5/29/2023 - Hot Dog Sale to Benefit Veterans and Restore22:
This was an unbelievable day and the support of everyone in attendance was amazing! Restore22 was on-site and was able to talk about their mission and their passion for creating a community to benefit local veterans, right here in Pittsburgh. Donation amounts in excess of the hot dog sale were much appreciated and everything is being donated to Restore22 and their cause. To learn more about Restore22, please visit their website.
